Breaking Chains
Quick exit
Breaking Chains · For women
First, be safe. If someone checks your phone or your history, read this on a device they cannot see, and do not sign up from a phone they control. Quick exit is at the top of this page and the setup screens. It changes the page; it does not erase browser history.

You are not broken, and you do not have to carry this alone.

Breaking Chains began as protection for men. This guided path is written for women, with its own signup and setup. It shares the filtering and account system. Read the privacy policy before deciding who to add to your circle.

What is different here

A circle of women you choose. You personally confirm each ally is a woman and has agreed to join. We do not automatically assign you a mentor. These are your confirmations, not independent verification of identity or gender. Private circle access uses the email she signs in with; adding only a phone number does not grant room access.
Choose your sharing settings. Setup offers controls for milestones, protection pauses and count resets. These controls do not cover every operational or integrity alert. Read the privacy policy before adding an ally.
Your words, not a template. Wording speaks to what women actually carry: shame, secrecy, comparison, loneliness, content that was pushed on you, and the pull that comes with it. It never treats you as a problem to be managed.
Protection that fits your life. Phone first, then laptop and tablet, then home Wi-Fi. Personal safety reminders are part of setup.

How it works

If someone controls your phone, your location or who you talk to, that is not accountability, it is control. Do not add that person as an ally. If you are not safe, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233 (text START to 88788). If you are in danger right now, call 911.

What it costs

The guided setup starts on the free Door Zero plan. Device protection requires separate configuration; finishing signup does not install a filter. See plans and prices before choosing paid features. Nothing is charged in this setup.

Your data, and leaving

Filtering can record blocked domains and times, and account content is stored on the service. Export and account deletion tools have limits described in the privacy policy. Do not assume deletion removes every operational log or backup.

Before you start

Use a device and email account that are safe for you to access. Quick exit does not erase history, downloads or notifications. If someone may monitor this device, use another device before seeking help or changing settings.

Start my path Learn about Breaking Chains

You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, setup requires an ally: a parent, guardian or another trusted adult woman. Entering a contact does not verify that person's age or identity.

Not medical or mental health care. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988.
