These terms govern your use of Breaking Chains, operated by Haygood Ideas, Inc., a Florida corporation ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Breaking Chains is a content filtering and accountability service. It blocks pornographic sites and bypass tools across the devices and home network you protect, alerts the accountability partners you choose when protection is tampered with, and gives you daily check-ins, an AI companion, and an SOS button.
Breaking Chains is not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment, and your AI companion is not a licensed professional. Nothing here is a substitute for care from a qualified human being.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or text HOME to 741741. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
No filter blocks everything. New sites appear constantly, techniques change, and a determined person can find ways around any technical control. We work hard at this and we will not promise you perfection.
The filter is a wall. The accountability is the point. Do not treat either as a guarantee.

Paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You are not charged until day 15. Cancel any time before then and you pay nothing. After the trial, plans bill monthly in advance.
Your trial does not start until your protection is actually working. We do not start a clock on a man who is still trying to get the filter installed. You are given a checkout link once your protection is in place, and the 14 days run from there.
Members who signed up under our earlier 90-day trial keep the 90 days they were promised.
There is no contract and no minimum term. Cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not prorate partial months. If we change prices we will give you at least 30 days notice before it affects your renewal.
The Family + Gateway plan includes a preconfigured gateway device that remains part of your subscription. If you cancel, you may either return it in working condition using the label we provide, or keep it for the fee stated at checkout. Hardware damaged beyond normal wear may be charged at replacement cost. The device is warranted against defects for 12 months; we will repair or replace a faulty unit.
You may use Breaking Chains from age 13.
Under 13, a parent or guardian must set up the account.
When you add an accountability partner you are telling us that person has agreed to receive automated text messages about your progress and setbacks. Do not add someone who has not agreed. Partners can reply STOP at any time to end all messages, or email [email protected] to be removed. Message frequency varies, typically up to 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Do not use Breaking Chains to harass anyone, to break the law, to impersonate another person, or to attack our systems. Do not post anything to a circle that you do not have the right to share. We may suspend or close an account that does.
What men write in a circle stays in that circle. Sharing another member's words, photos, or check-ins outside the room is a violation of these terms and of something more important than these terms.
Everything you write and record belongs to you. You grant us only the permission we need to store it, show it to the circle you chose, and operate the service. You can export all of it or delete your account yourself at any time from Settings, as described in our privacy policy.
We work to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something material to your paid plan, we will give you notice and refund the unused portion of what you prepaid.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including any harm arising from content that was not blocked, an alert that was not delivered, or a decision made in reliance on the service.
You may cancel or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for non-payment or for breach of these terms. Deleting your account removes your content as described in the privacy policy and cannot be undone.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.
